Ray & Renaid Almgren are the founders of Fire For the Nations Ministries, an apostolic and prophetic teaching and equipping ministry, based in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh.

R & R began going to the nations in December 1998 when, catapulted by the Holy Spirit and with assistance from Reinhard Bonnke, Ray delivered a prophetic word God gave him for Finland. They ministered in 8 churches, in 8 cities, in 8 days, and saw God confirm His word with signs and wonders.

A few months later in March 1999, the Lord opened the doors for Ray to give another prophetic word, this time in Sweden. Shortly afterwards, in June, they both had a life changing encounter with God’s Presence that ruined them for ordinary church.

During this season, Ray and Renaid both worked at Cornerstone TV, a 24-hour local Christian station. Ray served as Accounting Manager and Financial Manager, and Renaid was a Guest Coordinator and Make-up Supervisor. While working for the station, God called them to pioneer a church in 2001, which they pastored almost eight years. (Ray left the station later in 2001 and Renaid in 2002.) R & R helped birth House of His Presence in 2007, a house of prayer in Pittsburgh, which they co-led for more than five years.

After helping coordinate the citywide Pittsburgh Unity Gathering on 11/11/11, Ray and Renaid became part of the leadership team at Petra International Ministries in Pittsburgh, and also helped oversee Renaissance House of Prayer at Petra. Their assignment there ended in September 2017.

In the fall of 2018, Ray and Renaid started weekly meetings with the vision to become an apostolic training center. The Gathering Place currently meets on Saturday nights in Monroeville. 

All this time, R & R have continued to go to the nations. They regularly minister in Israel and France and have spoken in: Norway, Sweden & Finland a second time, Belgium, Germany, England, Holland, Ireland, Nigeria, Ghana, Jordan, Wales, Northern Ireland, China, and Japan.

In addition, Renaid and Ray write “The Renaissance Movement” (an informational prayer newsletter), and have had five articles from it published on the Elijah List and Charisma Media since September 2018. They also coordinate and host conferences and women’s events, and mobilize and train intercessors. 

Ray & Renaid served as Western Regional Leaders for the Pennsylvania Apostolic Prayer Network (PAPN), under the leadership of Abby Abildness, Director of Healing Tree International (HTI) and PA State Leader and coordinator for Cindy Jacob's U.S. Reformation Prayer Network (USRPN) and Dr. John Benefiel's Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network (HAPN) from 2010 until October 2019.

Whether ministering locally or internationally, John 2:5, “Whatever He says to you, do it,” is the scripture that best sums up their calling and desire to serve the Lord. With the attitude, "If Ray and Renaid can do it, so can you," their passion is to see others experience God's Presence, be healed (spirit, soul, & body), learn to hear His voice, discover their gifts and callings, and be released into ministry as well. They regularly teach on the Prophetic, Intercession, Spiritual Identity, Healing, and the Holy Spirit. Their Healing Manual was translated into Arabic for training with Arab Christians in Nazareth, Israel, and was also taken to Jordan.

Ray is a 1979 graduate of Christ For the Nations in Dallas, Texas and both Ray & Renaid are ordained through CFN's Fellowship of Ministers and Churches.
